Room 7’s Classroom Management System.

Monday 8^th February, 2010.

Dear Parents/Caregivers,

The children have decided on the rules that they would like our classroom to run by this year.  We have been through them and they understand the consequences if unwise choices are made.

Classroom Rules.

• Treat others how you want to be treated.
• Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
• Walk inside the classroom.
• Always try your hardest.
• Look after our classroom and the things in it.

Reward System.

We have a class reward system and an individual system running.  Individually the children are put on the Incredible List if I catch them displaying desirable behaviour.  Once they have been up three times in a week, they earn 10 extra minutes on the computer the following week.

As well as this there is plenty of praise, certificates, stickers, smiles and other rewards to help encourage high standards.

Disappointing List.

The consequences for making a bad choice are the following:

1^st time the child receives a verbal warning outlining what it is they are doing incorrectly.

2^nd time their name is put on the disappointing list.

3^rd time the child is writing out the classroom rules at lunchtime.

4^th time the parents are notified.
