MR SIMEON - PRINCIPAL
When Mr Simeon was very young he wanted to be a fireman to drive a big red truck!  After that he was always pretty keen on being a builder as he liked working with wood and his Grandad used to do lots of small projects with him in the holidays.  When he was fifteen he decided that teaching would be a good job because he liked school and thought that he would do a good job of enabling kids to have fun when they were at school too!  He loves his job because no day is ever the same.  There is so much happening in a school and he loves thinking about what is best for the children.  Mr Simeon’s heroes are Michael Jones (an ex Allblack), The Cat Empire (his favourite band), and his wife!  He says his wife is the most amazing person who supports him and his family.  If he won lotto, he would put some money away for his children’s future and give some to family, friends and a charity.  After he has been sensible, he would then buy a flash car, boat and helicopter! He would also go traveling overseas with his family, buy lots of toys and diamonds for his wife.    Mr Simeon’s hobbies are surfing, water skiing and making short movies of my children doing cool things. 

 

MS ROSBOROUGH – DEPUTY PRINCIPAL
Ms Rosborough always wanted to be a teacher when she was younger. She has embarrassing moments all the time! If Ms Rosborough won lotto, she would travel all around the world and only come back to New Zealand to see her family during the year at some stage! Her heroes are the environmentalists as they  protect our future. Her masterchef dish is French Toast with banana, bacon and syrup. Yum! Ms Rosborough’s favourite place in the world is Waihi Beach. She enjoyed visiting Italy and is looking forward to going to Ireland and Paris. Ms Rosborough likes all types of chocolate. She enjoys teaching children  because often the children  teach her new things as well. If Ms Rosborough was an animal she would be something that could fly, maybe a butterfly that lived forever in her garden. Ms Rosborough’s hobbies are gardening, reading and walking on the beach looking at shells and driftwood.

   MRS O’LEARY – SYNDICATE LEADER

Mrs O’Leary’s favourite chocolate is fruit nut.  When she was a child she wanted to be a police officer or a teacher.  If she won lotto she would buy a new bus and use some of the money to make a difference in somebody’s life.  Mrs O’Leary loves teaching and especially loves being with the children.  If she was an animal she would be a tortoise because they live a long time and they can hide in their shells when they have had enough.  Mrs O’Leary’s favourite place in the world is Paris.  Her heroes are her five grandchildren because they remind her what is important in life.  Mrs O’Leary’s master chef dish is tiramisu which means ‘pick me up’ in Italian.  Her hobbies are anything to do with her family, code crackers, reading, travelling overseas and around New Zealand, shopping and going to Cafes.  Mrs O’Leary goes to pilates and she is doing an online course in Te Reo Maori.

 

 MRS REYNOLDS – SYNDICATE LEADER
When Mrs Reynolds was a child she wanted to be a teacher and she used to drive her brothers mad playing school!  Mrs Reynolds enjoys her job especially the children and always being busy and active.  Mrs Reynold’s heroes are people who try their best day after day using what talents or resources they have to help others.  If Mrs Reynolds won lotto she would travel more often and buy houses for her family members.  Mrs Reynolds has travelled to fabulous places but her favorite place in the world is home!  Mrs Reynolds master chef dishes are berry cheese cake and tiramisu.  YUM!!!  Her favourite chocolate is dark mint but she is not fussy!  If she was an animal, she’d be a cat – cute, cuddly and quite independent.  Mrs Reynold’s hobbies are gardening, growing avocados, reading and her family.  She loves her life and is thankful everyday for that.

 

MISS McNEILL - SYNDICATE LEADER
Miss McNeill’s favourite place in the world is New Zealand. Her master chef dish is toast!  Miss McNeill loves all chocolate, especially caramello.  If she was an animal, Miss McNeill would be a cat.  What a great life!  Her hobbies are music, theatre, reading, walking, cycling and shopping.  Miss McNeill has given up on buying lotto tickets.  Her hero is Wile E Coyote because he never gives up and just keeps trying and trying.  Miss McNeill loves her job and especially loves having fun and learning with the kids.  When she was a child she wanted to be a chemist lady.  Miss McNeill has too many embarrassing moments to tell!

  MRS POUND - SYNDICATE LEADER 

When Mrs Pound was little she wanted to be the boss!  She doesn’t have a favourite chocolate and she loves liquorice.  If Mrs Pound was an animal she would be a cat because they have a pretty good lifestyle. Her hobbies are walking, watching rugby league and reading.  Mrs Pound’s favourite place in the world is at the top of the mount on a sunny, still day.  Her master chef dishes are Guiness  pie (if you ask her husband ), yellow chicken curry (if you ask her girls ), but Mexican if you ask her. We think she sounds like a master chef in the making!  Mrs Pound’s heroes are Bill Gates; doctors and nurses that work in third world countries; and John Travolta, “he’s way cool!”  Mrs Pound loves teaching and especially loves it when the children have their ‘lightbulb moments!’  If she won lotto, she would buy a plot of land and build a house each for her girls, then have some fun giving it away – if there was any leftover!

   MR FRANKS
 

 MRS PURSER 
Mrs Purser’s favourite types of chocolate are dark chocolate, plain and peppermint. Her most embarrassing moment was when the skirt she was wearing split to the waist after stepping over a student in class!  Her other most embarrassing moment was when she was told to welcome the guests at her sister’s wedding.  She told them where to put the presents and it turned out there were two weddings and a lot of the presents were for the other wedding!  Whoops!  Mrs Purser loves teaching because she loves to have fun each and every day.  She loves meeting a new bunch of kids every year and helping them grow.  When Mrs Purser was a child she wanted to be a fashion designer or a graphic artist.  Her hero is her Mum who worked two jobs and went without the things she wanted so Mrs Purser and her sisters could get a good education.  If Mrs Purser won lotto she would renovate her bathroom and hire a house cleaner for her Mum.  Her favourite places in the world are the Mount beach and Cathedral Cove – or wherever her kids are.  Mrs Purser’s hobbies are painting and reading.  She also loves going to the movies but tends to be a bit busy to do these things at the moment!  If she was an animal, she would be a house cat – what an easy life!  Mrs Purser’s master chef dish is spaghetti bolognaise, followed by macadamia caramel self saucing pudding.  Yum!

 

 MRS BURGESS
Mrs Burgess loves teaching because she loves the kids, mixing with the staff and the holidays!  Her most embarrassing moment was turning up to the wrong wedding reception.  Mrs Burgess’ favourite place in the world is anywhere that she can lie on a white sandy beach on a sunny day.  Her hobbies are walking her dog Cass along the beach, watching Shortland Street and Coronation Street, reading, going to the movies and drinking cappuccinos.  If she won lotto Mrs Burgess would pay off her mortgage, do up her house and go on a trip.  Her Master chef dish is scallops, fresh fish and salads.  Mrs Burgess loves chocolate – she especially loves white chocolate, dark peppermint, moros, pineapple lumps etc.  If she was an animal, she would be a Labrador because they have a great life.   Her heroes are her three sons because they make her feel very proud.  When Mrs Burgess was a child, she wanted to be a school teacher!

   MR ALLSOP
  MRS MAGEE 
Mrs Magee’s heroes are Lynley Dodd and Sir Edmund Hilary.  She loves Lynley Dodd because of her creativity with language.  She loves Sir Edmund Hilary because of his dogged perseverance and his charity work to better the lives of the less fortunate people by showing them how to create better lives for themselves. When she was a child she wanted to be a clothes designer or an air hostess or maybe just a kept woman!  Mrs Magee’s most embarrassing moment is so embarrassing that she refused to tell us. Her favourite place in the world is the beach with her family and friends. If Mrs Magee won lotto she would disappear and explore the world.  And she would keep herself in the manner she would like to be kept!  Her master chef dish is an asparagus dish with layers of tomatoes, eggs , sauce and topped with bread crumb - oh and don’t forget the asparagus! Yummy! Mrs Magee’s favourite type of chocolate is caramel and rocky road.  If she was an animal she would be a cat to be pampered by her owner!  Mrs Magee’s hobbies are art and design, sewing, exploring at the beach, bush walking and retail therapy!    She loves her job and especially loves interacting with the children and seeing the ‘penny drop’.  She loves their sense of ‘I can do it!’  and ‘I understand now!’  She also loves their quirky sense of humour, their spontaneity and their creativity in art.  Mrs Magee believes in angels and  loves the  maori proverb ‘Let the sun shine on your face and the shadows will fall behind you’. 
 

 MISS BRAID 
When Miss Braid  was a child she wanted to be taller -  unfortunately it never happened!  She wanted to be taller so that  she could be a professional basketball player .  Her most embarrassing moment was setting off the school alarm on her first day of school. If she won lotto she’d buy a house on the beach front. Her master chef dish is leek , mushroom and smoked salmon quiche -YUM! Her favourite type of chocolate is Whittakers.  Mmmm. Her hero’s are Brad Thorne and her mum and dad.  If she was an animal she’d be a bird so that she could fly away when  Winter comes. Her hobbies are playing basketball, playing or watching sport (especially rugby), going to the beach and spending time with her daughter.

 

 MRS KIRBY 
Since Mrs Kirby was in year three at school, she has always wanted to be a teacher. She had a brief moment at the end of college when she considered being an accountant but found out that numbers are not as much fun as children to work with. Mrs Kirby has lots of places in the world that are her favourite.  She loves all kinds of chocolate except for peanut.  Mrs Kirby’s master chef is gourmet style home made pizza.  Her most embarrassing moment was when she wasn’t feeling well and poured milk on her porridge, put her bowl in the fridge and wondered why she was sitting at the table with an empty milk bottle!  Mrs Kirby’s heroes are great photographers.  She can spend hours staring at a photo wondering how they captured that particular shot.  If Mrs Kirby was an animal, she would be a bird as she loves to fly.  If Mrs Kirby won lotto, she would keep teaching but travel further afar in the holidays.  Her hobbies are photography.  Mrs Kirby just can’t stop seeing photos everywhere!!

   MRS WILLIS 

What Mrs Willis really enjoys about her job is seeing the children and their smiles on their faces when they know they’ve done something clever. If she won lotto she’d go on an overseas   holiday and buy a lifestyle property not far from town. Her master chef dish is chocolate cheesecake.  Yum! Mrs Willis’ favourite place in the world is her cosy ,  snuggly warm bed. Her most favourite chocolate is Cadbury peppermint.  Delicious!  If she could be an animal she’d be a bird so that she could fly high in the sky and look over the beautiful earth we live on. Mrs Willis’ hobbies are spending time with her family, scrapbooking, singing and last but not least cooking. Her heroes are Lady Diana and Mother Teresa. They had a compassion for people beyond themselves.  

 

 MRS SHEERAN
When Mrs Sheeran was young she wanted to be a teacher or a ballerina. Her hero is Sir Edmund Hillary. Mrs Sheeran’s favourite place in the world is Tauranga. Her master chef dish is mince on toast.   Mrs Sheeran’s favourite chocolate is milk chocolate.  If she was an animal she would be a cat because they get so much love and they get to do whatever they like.  Mrs Sheeran’s hobbies are gardening, walking and touring around New Zealand in a camper van.  Her most embarrassing moment is when she got invited to a birthday party and got the wrong date.  She dressed up as a clown and walked into the house while the people were watching T.V on the couch! The thing she especially likes about her job is watching children learn and play.  If she won lotto she would travel around the world, share it with her family and friends and give some to charities.  Her favourite colour is green. Mrs Sheeran lives on a life style block and has sheep, lambs and a black dog called Zac.  Zac likes to pull washing off the line and chew it.  He also eats all his bedding and prefers to sleep on boards in his kennel.
 

 

 MRS BOYLE 
When Mrs Boyle was a child she wanted to be a doctor.  Mrs Boyle loves her  job because she loves being with children, watching children make progress and knowing she’s played an important part in their learning. Mrs Boyle’s hero is Richie Mc Caw as he’s a great role model, an amazing rugby player and he’s gorgeous! Mrs Boyle can’t tell us what her most embarrassing moment is because it is just too embarrassing but she has been known to walk into the men’s toilets accidentally on one or two occasions! If Mrs Boyle won lotto, she would travel all over the world.  Her favourite place in the world is Santorini, which is a Greek Island.  Mrs Boyle’s master chef dish is apple crumble.  She loves all types of chocolate, especially caramello and black forest.  If she was an animal, she would be a cat so she could curl up in a warm place and sleep all day.  Mrs Boyle’s hobby is reading.

 

 MRS HAMILTON
When teaching Mrs Hamilton most enjoys learning with the children and planning exciting things to do and learn from. Her most embarrassing moment was when the portaloo door blew open at an event and there was a giant crowd and she couldn’t shut the door! Her hobbies are tennis, walking, sewing and home decorating. Her favourite place in the world is Paris. Mrs Hamilton likes dark chocolate best. If she was an animal she would be a bird so she could move about easily and look down on the world.  When Mrs Hamilton was a child she wanted to be a hairdresser – every girl’s dream!  Her heroes are Thomas Edison who not only invented a great lightbulb but also mass communication /telecommunication devices, car batteries, electrical power, recorded music and motion pictures.  How dull life would be without these things!  If she won lotto, she would go on a world trip,  buy a fleet of cars for every different need and of course a class trip to Disneyland!

   MRS HUNTER (on leave) 

Mrs   Hunter’s   master   dish    is    tomato   soup.  When   she    was    little    she wanted   to   be    a    vet.   If   she   was   an   animal   she   would    be a pig   because   they are awesome   pets - caring     and     the    cleanest    animal    in   the   world.  Her   hobbies   are   running, swimming   {in the   summer} and listening    to   good   rock music.  If she   won    lotto   she      would    travel     the       world.  Mrs Hunter’s hero is her Dad, because he has worked hard to get all the things he needs and wants.  Her favourite chocolate is Whittaker’s Chocolate.  She loves her job and especially loves making a difference in kid’s learning.    

   MRS HURREN 
Mrs Hurren always wanted to be a teacher.  She loves watching children grow and learn throughout their time at Primary School.  Mrs Hurren also loves going to sports days.  If Mrs Hurren was an animal, she would be a cat (as long as she had a good owner), because their life is usually pretty relaxed.  Her hero is Dan Carter for being such an amazing sports person.  (He is easy to look at too, aye Mrs Hurren!) Mrs Hurren’s most embarrassing moment  was standing on a chair in a classroom to write the date and then falling off onto children on the mat!  Her Masterchef dish is lasagne and banana chocolate muffins.  Her favourite type of chocolate is Whittakers Creamy Milk.  If Mrs Hurren won lotto she would travel.  Mrs Hurren loves to watch sport, walk, bike, go out for coffee, read and watch movies. 
 

 MRS JUDKINS 
Mrs Judkin’s hero has always been her Dad.  If she won lotto she would share the money.  When Mrs Judkins was a child she wanted to be an air hostess.  If Mrs Judkins was an animal she would be a giraffe because they have such long legs.  She has had many, many embarrassing moments when she was a foreigner living in Japan – too many to list! New Zealand is the best place in the world for Mrs Judkins.  All her favourite places in New Zealand are by the beach – she just loves the beach.  Mrs Judkins loves teaching because of the kids.   Her favourite chocolate is Whittakers Dark Chocolate.  Her hobbies are spending time with her family, running, biking, beaching, going to the movies, reading, cooking …  there are not enough hours in the day!  Mrs Judkin’s master chef dish is a delicious baked salmon dish and also homemade pizza.

   MISS ALDRIDGE 

When Miss Aldridge was a child she wanted to be swimmer in the Olympics.  Her heroes are Michael Jones and John Kirwan because they both stand up for what they believe in.   Her most embarrassing moment was when she was on a volleyball trip in Thailand and the bus was downstairs waiting to take the team to the game.  She went to get her shoe which was airing on the window sill on the 24th floor, and it fell off!  Everyone had to wait while the shoe was found.  If Miss Aldridge was an animal she’d be either a fly on the wall or a leopard so that she could run fast!   Her favourite places in the world are Italy, Disneyland and the Mount.  Miss Aldridge’s  master chef dish is fish and salsa. Her favourite type of chocolate is rum and raisin.  Miss Aldridge’s hobbies are spending time with her two sons,  family and friends, playing and watching sport, reading and painting.  She loves teaching and especially loves being able to think of original, creative and fun ways to interact, teach and learn with the children.

   MRS HAYWARD

Mrs Hayward’s heroes are her four sons.  She is very proud of all of them. If she won lotto Mrs Hayward would travel. Her favourite place in the world is Hatepe on Lake Taupo . When she was a child she wanted to work in a South African game reserve. Mrs Hayward’s master chef dish is Lamb Tagine. Her favourite type of chocolate is Belgian. If she was an animal she would be a bird so she could fly everywhere. Mrs Hayward’s hobbies are pilates, walking and sport. The things she enjoys most about her job are the staff, the children and the parents.

   MRS SPOONER
   MR BAIN

Mr Bain‘s most embarrassing moment was boarding the wrong plane at Wellington Airport. If Mr Bain won lotto he’d put the cheque under his pillow and dream for the next year what he’d do with the money. His favourite chocolate is nestles fruit and nutty. Mr Bain’s master chef dish is eye fillet steak on a bed of mashed potato with vegetables. If   he  was  an  animal  he  would  be  a  seagull  so  he  could  fly  high  in  the  sky. His  hobbies  are  golf, a  good  game   of  cards, a  day  at  the  races and making his home  brew. Mr Bain enjoys his job, particularly the   variety, the fresh  air,   morning  tea  every second Friday and the  challenge  of  fixing  something. When he was a child he wanted to be an air force pilot. His favourite place in the world is Kinloch.      

   MRS COCKERILL

Mrs Cockerill’s most embarrassing moment was sleeping in and being late for work.   If she won lotto she would go on a trip around the world. Her favourite place in the world is Sydney.  Mrs Cockerill’s favourite chocolate is black forest - yum!!! If she was an animal she’d be a cat so she’d get a lot of sleep and get looked after. Her hobbies are reading, listening to music and going for walks. Her master chef dish is the family favourite, lemon fish. When she was little she wanted to be a secretary.  What she enjoys most about her job is helping staff and students and choosing new books for the school library.  Her heroes are Enid Blyton, the famous children’s writer and Sir Edmund Hilary, the New Zealand mountain climber who was the first man to conquer Mount Everest.  

   LESLEY

When Lesley was a child she wanted to be a train driver.  Her most embarrassing moment was being mistaken as her son’s grandmother.  If Lesley won lotto, she would travel, travel, travel!  Her hero is her mother for raising fourteen children and living to the right old age of ninety-four.  Lesley’s favourite place in the world is Ware.  Her master chef dish is sweet chilli chicken noodle salad.  Lesley’s favourite type of chocolate is macadamia nut.  If Lesley was an animal she would be a cat because cat’s have servants.  Her hobbies are reading, listening to music and any sports that her kids play.  Lesley loves her job especially the new things she learns everyday from the kids (particularly the secrets from home!!)

When Adell was little she wanted to be a writer. Her most embarrassing moment was when she got out of the swimming pool and she couldn’t see so she got changed in the men’s changing room!  If she was an animal she would be a frog because she would jump into the water. Her favourite chocolate is dark and nutty. Her master chef dish is a rainbow chocolate cake. Adell’s favourite place is home. Her hobbies are reading, gardening and swimming.  If she won lotto she would buy a house and help free Chinese dancing bears.  The things she most enjoys about her job are the kind staff and the good kids.
