Flippa Ball - Information

Registrations for Term 4 have now closed.

The game:

Flippa Ball is a modified version of Water Polo aimed exclusively at Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students.  There are two teams, each of which must have a minimum of six players. Each team must have 5 field players and 1 goalie in the pool at one time.  Each team can have up to 5 substitutes (recommended 3 substitutes) that can rotate at any time.  Players are permitted to walk along the bottom if they do not have the ball. If in possession of the ball the player must swim or pass. Players must catch and pass with only one hand. The game consists of two halves of 10 minutes duration each.

Ready for Water Polo?

If your child has played Flippa Ball for a while now and is ready to step up to Water Polo - there could be an opportunity to play at Toi Ohomai Pool, Windermere, on either Tuesday or Friday afternoons/evenings depending on ability. These would be combined school teams depending on ability. If you are interested, please email angelab@pillanspoint.school.nz.
